“Our Appalachia” : Free Community Lecture Series

Join us this year for our first series of public lectures! Held at the Rabun County Public Library, these monthly talks will feature a variety of topics, from moonshining and quilting to Cherokee language and culture. July will feature guest speaker Audrey Davenport. Audrey serves as the Director for the Habersham Historical Society which interprets local history for the neighboring county of Habersham. She will present on the Civil Rights Movement of North Georgia and how this radical socio-cultural change still impacts our communities today.
