This guided walk, held off-site at Mainspring’s Tessentee Bottomland Preserve, will explore the historic uses of rivercane by the Cherokee people and current efforts to conserve this important native species. Participants should plan to meet in the parking lot at the Tessentee property, off Hickory Knoll Road in Franklin, North Carolina. Participants should be prepared for a mild to moderate hike.
