In this class you will build your own cigar box dulcimer. Box and all parts needed are supplied. Come dressed prepared to get a little sawdust on yourself. We will be using basic hand tools. We will cover construction, tuning, intonation and learn a few songs. You will leave with your own unique handmade instrument.

We’ll use simple hand sewing techniques and put together traditional quilt blocks to create “mug mats” or small bookmarks from cotton fabric scraps. Discussion of embroidery techniques or clothing repair if time permits. Bring your lunch and come join the fun! Ages 14 and up.
