Description
Wooden violin with plastic pegs. Violin is a faux Stradivarius; has tag inside that reads “Antonious Stradiuarius Cremonensis / Faciebat Anno 1727” (last two numbers are faded and hard to discern). Above label is handwritten inscription “Repaired by W. Bardon Tanner / Dacula, Ga 1967.” Violin top is made from a soft pine. Fingerboard material is unidentified but is not ebony. Instead it is a light, unpolished wood. Wear can be seen on the upper right half of the fingerboard. Sides and back of violin are made from striped maple. Pegs of violin are white plastic; mold seams are visible on the edges. Strings are still on violin but are discolored–they have a greenish hue. Scroll and tail piece are made of unidentified wood. Bridge is stamped “JOHN JUZEK / form. / PRAGUE”. Violin has no chin rest.
