Bonus content from Jake Waldroop’s 1976 interview:
My grandpa Mace was a sawyer,he set up a sawmill and sawed logs for a living. My dad and uncle also were loggers.During their early days logging, they cut them with a crosscut saw and dragged them with horses to log yard, where they loaded the logs with a pevy and hauled them to the sawmill Later years my dad loaded logs with a loader and hauled them to the sawmill.I thank God I was raised by a loggers and a God fearing Christian man.
